A woman brought her teenage daughter to see me, who was doing her final high school examinations. The mother explained that they had come for a second opinion.
She had taken her daughter to see another doctor, because the girl was feeling very stressed, and couldn’t sleep, so they wanted some sleeping pills. The doctor had insisted on examining the girl very thoroughly, then told them that he would not give them a prescription. He said the daughter should either take up jogging or masturbate. The mother replied “Thank you, doctor. We’ll go out and buy some running shoes.”
I’m very pleased to be able to say that the doctor concerned was deregistered shortly thereafter.
